Cashback on eligible small purchases
Currently offers 2% cashback on eligible tap-and-pay purchases under A$100, capped at A$50 per month. Can hold multiple currencies.
A$2,000 qualifying deposit, spending exclusions and other terms apply. Spending more to get cashback defeats the point.
Interest on everyday cash
Interest-bearing transaction account, digital banking and spending tools, with no Macquarie monthly account fee.
Interest rates change. Check current account and overseas ATM charges.
Savings with a simple monthly target
Advertises 6.25% p.a. welcome bonus for up to four months for eligible new customers and 5.35% p.a. everyday bonus, for eligible balances up to A$1m.
Grow your total savings by at least A$1 each month for bonus interest; introductory rate ends. Verify all current conditions.
Ongoing bonus rate if you meet conditions
Advertises 5.75% p.a. variable bonus rate on eligible balances up to A$100,000.
Requires eligible monthly deposit, five settled card purchases and savings balance growth; missing a condition can sharply lower the rate.
Save regularly and track a goal
Advertises 5.25% p.a. variable rate when bonus conditions are met, with goal tracking and transfers in the app.
Make a deposit and grow the balance each calendar month to get the bonus. Standard rate is much lower if you miss conditions.

Check the official provider page before applying. Australian-dollar deposits with eligible banks have Financial Claims Scheme protection, generally up to A$250,000 per account holder per ADI; brands sometimes share one banking licence. 02 / INVESTING
Buying the investment is only one step. Check brokerage on both buying and selling, account ownership, market access, foreign exchange charges and recurring-investing options.
A few terms: Brokerage is a fee to buy or sell. CHESS-sponsored holdings are registered under your ASX holder number, while custodial holdings are held for you by a custodian. FX means converting one currency into another.
For example, A$3 brokerage on a A$100 purchase is 3% of that purchase before other costs. Compare fees with the amounts you expect to invest.
Low-cost small ASX purchases
A$0 for first ASX buy under A$1,000 per security per day; otherwise A$11 or 0.10% (whichever is higher).
CHESS-sponsored ASX holdings. Broad market access.
The A$0 rule does not apply to sells or every buy. International FX spreads and other fees can apply.
Simple flat-fee ASX trading
A$3 per ASX trade up to A$30,000; above that 0.01%.
CHESS-sponsored ASX holdings, plus US market access.
US trades have separate fees and an FX conversion cost.
Automating a regular investing habit
A$6.50 per ASX buy or sell (prepay discounts available).
CHESS-sponsored ASX holdings and automation tools.
Recurring small trades can make flat brokerage costly as a percentage.
A$0 ASX ETF brokerage
A$0 brokerage on eligible ASX ETFs and available shares.
Recurring ETF investing tools. Platform and managed-portfolio arrangements are not the same.
Custody model differs from CHESS sponsorship; interest on cash retained and some transfers or optional portfolio features have fees.
Established share-trading platform
A$5 for eligible ASX trades up to A$1,000; A$10 for A$1,000-A$3,000; further tiers apply.
ASX share trading, research tools and CommBank settlement integration.
Confirm settlement account and order type; higher trade sizes and other markets have different fees.
Broker fees and rules verified against provider pricing pages on 29 October 2026. Rates vary by trade size, order type, market and account type. Fund management fees also apply where relevant.
